Ordering an iPhone 15 Pro Max

Following the official announcement at Apple's Wonderlust event on Tuesday, preorders for the new models went live at 13:00 today in the UK. I eventually managed to order my chosen model, the iPhone 15 Pro Max in the Natural Titanium finish. Delivery is scheduled for 27/9 🤬. I was unable to get my order in time for launch day on 22/9, which is unsurprising such was the demand for the new iPhones.

The online store and official app were still unavailable more than 5 minutes after 13:00. The online store was still experiencing technical issues more than 20 minutes after preorders began. I had reserved my device via the Apple get ready option which failed to load after three attempts, so I gave up and ordered via the standard process.

At the time of writing most models are now on back order. There are some models, mostly the Blue Pro still available to collect from a some stores. Most models are now looking at October delivery dates. Some models are on back order as far out as November 6th, specifically the Silver and Natural colour options. Seems the lighter finishes are the more popular this year.
